LINN BENTON FOOD SHARE IS THE REGIONAL FOOD BANK FOR LINN AND BENTON COUNTIES. SINCE 1981, FOOD SHARE HAS BEEN COMMITTED TO FULFILLING OUR GOAL THAT "EVERYBODY EATS". THROUGH OUR NETWORK OF 64 AGENCIES WE ATTEMPT TO REACH EVERY PERSON WHO CANNOT FIND ENOUGH RESOURCES TO ADEQUATELY FEED THEMSELVES OR THEIR FAMILY.

WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF 659 VOLUNTEERS, WHO VOLUNTEERED 1,640 HOURS, THE LBFS DISTRIBUTED 3,301,883 POUNDS OF FOOD TO 67 MEMBER AGENCIES: EMERGENCY FOOD PANTRIES IN LINN AND BENTON COUNTIES DISTRIBUTED 33,999 FOOD BOXES TO 94,190 INDIVIDUALS, AND SOUP KITCHENS AND SHELTERS SERVED 251,196 MEALS TO 155,318 INDIVIDUALS IN THE TWO COUNTY AREA. IN ADDITION, LBFS DELIVERED MONTHLY FOOD BOXES TO 408 SENIOR CITIZENS AND 4,700 INDIVIDUALS PARTICIPATED IN LBFS GLEANING GROUPS.
