TO PROMOTE THE GROWTH, PROFESSIONAL ADVANCEMENT, STATUS, WELFARE, AND SECURITY OR THE CLASSIFIED EMPLOYEES OF PORTLAND COMMUNITY COLLEGE. ENCOURAGE MEMBERSHIP WITHOUT REGARD TO RACE, CREED, AGE, GENDER, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, COLOR, NATIONAL ORIGIN, POLITICAL AFFILIATION OR PHYSICAL APPEARANCE OR ABILITY. ACT AS THE EXCLUSIVE BARGAINING REPRESENTATIVE FOR THE CLASSIFIED EMPLOYEES OF PORTLAND COMMUNITY COLLEGE. WORK WITH OTHER EDUCATION WORKERS AND MEMBERS OF THE ORGANIZATION'S AFFILIATES TO PROMOTE THE GENERAL WELFARE OF WORKING PEOPLE.
MEMBERS HELPING MEMBERS IS A COMMITTEE CREATED BY THE EXECUTIVE COUNCIL FOR THE PURPOSE OF EXPLORING ALTERNATIVES IN PROVIDING EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE FOR OUR FINANCIALLY DISTRESSED MEMBERS.
