PEACE HOUSE HAS A PROGRAM TO FEED THE HOMELESS AND THE HUNGRY. WE MAINTAIN UP TO DATE INFORMATION ABOUT LOCAL RESOURCES TO ASSIST PEOPLE NEEDING HELP WITH SHELTERING, FOOD RESOURCES AND OTHER SOCIAL SERVICES. WE SUPPORT EFFORTS TO BRING RELATED ACTIVITIES TO OUR COMMUNITY.

UNCLE FOODS DINER COOKED AND SERVED 100 MEALS PER WEEK TO THE HOMELESS POPULATION AT OUR ONCE -A-WEEK COMMUNITY MEAL WHICH WAS PREPARED MOSTLY BY VOLUNTEERS, WITH ONLY TWO PAID STAFF MEMBERS.


THE ROGUE LIBERATION LIBRARY PROGRAM PROVIDES AND SHIPS FREE BOOKS TO PRISONERS. THIS PROGRAM IS COMPLETELY STAFFED BY VOLUNTEERS. IN 2019, THE FIRST FULL YEAR AFTER ITS FOUNDING, WE SENT ABOUT 50 PACKAGES A MONTH, IN 2020, WE SENT 90. IN 2021 WE SENT 120 PACKAGES A MONTH. IN 2022, THAT NUMBER INCREASED TO AN AVERAGE OF 240 PACKAGES A MONTH! IN MORE HUMAN TERMS, THIS MEANS THAT WE RECEIVE ABOUT 240 LETTERS EACH MONTH FROM INMATES REQUESTING BOOKS, AND EACH OF THESE PEOPLE RECEIVES A PACKAGE OF ONE TO FIVE BOOKS FOR FREE.
