THE ORGANIZATION PARTICIPATED IN AN ADVOCACY DAY IN FEBRUARY 2016 WITH STUDENTS, REGISTERED DENTAL HYGIENISTS AND GUEST IN ATTENDANCE. AN EXPANDED PRACTICE DENTAL HYGIENE CONFERENCE WAS HELD IN MAY IN THE BEND AREA. APPROXIMATELY 45 HYGIENISTS WERE IN ATTENDANCE. THE OREGON DENTAL HYGIENE CONFERENCE WAS HELD IN NOVEMBER IN PORTLAND. APPROXIMATELY 90 PROFESSIONALS AND 150 STUDENTS WERE IN ATTENDANCE. ODHA ALSO HAD A TABLE AT THE OREGON DENTAL CONFERENCE IN APRIL TO PROVIDE INFORMATION AND OUTREACH TO DENTAL HYGIENE ATTENDEES AND STUDENTS. TWO SCHOLARSHIPS, FOUR AWARDS OF EXCELLENCE, AND SIX FUTURE LEADER AWARDS WERE GIVEN.
