AS THE COLLECTIVE VOICE FOR SAN FRANCISCO AND MARIN COUNTY PHYSICIANS, SFMMS STRIVES TO ENHANCE THE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND QUALITY OF LIFE FOR ITS MEMBERS.SFMMS PROVIDES EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING TO MEMBERSHIP ON PRACTICE MANAGEMENT AND TIMELY ISSUES AFFECTING THE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF SAN FRANCISCO AND MARIN PHYSICIANS AND THEIR PATIENTS. SAN FRANCISCO MARIN MEDICINE, THE JOURNAL OF THE SFMMS, IS PUBLISHED FOUR TIMES A YEAR AND DISTRIBUTED TO OVER 3,000 PHYSICIANS AND ALLIED HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS. RECENT ISSUES HAVE FOCUSED ON ISSUES RELATED TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, MEDICAL ETHICS, ADDICTION AND ADVOCACY.
SFMMS AIDS ITS MEMBERS WITH PRACTICE PROMOTION AND CAREER DEVELOPMENT THROUGH FREQUENT COMMUNITY EVENTS AND PHYSICIAN WELLNESS ACTIVITIES. AN ONLINE PHYSICIAN FINDER IS AVAILABLE FREE-OF-CHARGE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC.
