TO RAISE THE STANDARDS, PUBLIC AWARENESS, AND ENCOURAGE RESEARCH AND PUBLICATIONS IN ANESTHESIOLOGY.

THE ORGANIZATION HOLDS AN ANNUAL CONFERENCE AT WHICH APPROXIMATELY 250 MEMBERS, AS WELL AS INTERESTED PARTIES, ARE ENCOURAGED TO RESEARCH AND PUBLISH TO RAISE THE AWARENESS OF ANESTHESIOLOGY. THE ANNUAL CONFERENCE IS A COMBINATION OF CLINICAL LECTURES ON VARIOUS ANESTHESIA TOPICS AND HANDS-ON WORKSHOPS ON VARIOUS TECHNOLOGIES USED IN ANESTHESIOLOGY PROCEDURES. THE GOAL OF THE CONFERENCE IS TO ENCOURAGE THE BEST POSSIBLE LEVELS OF PATIENT SAFETY IN ANESTHESIA PROCEDURES AND TO GIVE THE SOCIETY'S MEMBERS AND INTERESTED PARTIES ACCESS TO THE BEST POSSIBLE LEVEL OF CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION.


THE ORGANIZATION'S CONTRACTED LEGAL AND LEGISLATIVE CONSULTANTS WORK AT THE DIRECTION OF THE SOCIETY'S BOARD OF DIRECTORS. LEGAL AND LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL MONITOR ACTIVITIES BY THE AGENCY FOR HEALTH CARE ADMINISTRATION, ELECTED STATE LAWMAKERS IN THE ANNUAL LEGISLATIVE SESSION, VARIOUS RULE MAKING COMMITTEES OF THE FLORIDA BOARD OF MEDICINE AND THE FLORIDA BOARD OF NURSING. ALL SUCH MONITORING ACTIVITIES SERVE TO HELP THE SOCIETY'S ELECTED VOLUNTEER LEADERS TO BETTER SERVE THE MEMBERS AT LARGE AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC BY ENSURING ADVOCACY FROM ANESTHESIOLOGISTS ABOUT PATIENT SAFETY.


THE ORGANIZATION HAS ESTABLISHED A WEBSITE AND A QUARTERLY NEWSLETTER TO KEEP THEIR APPROXIMATELY 1400 MEMBERS BETTER INFORMED AND UPATED. THESE SERVICES PROVIDE PUBLIC INFORMATION FROM STATE AND FEDERAL ORGANIZATIONS ABOUT PUBLIC SAFETY. THESE MEDIA FORMS PROVIDE SERVICE TO THE SOCIETY'S MEMBERS BY PROVIDING PUBLIC INFORMATION FROM STATE AND FEDERAL ORGANIZATIONS ABOUT PATIENT SAFETY. THEY ALSO PROVIDE THE SOCIETY'S MEMBERS WITH UPDATES ON THE ACTIVITIES OF THE SOCIETY'S BOARD OF DIRECTORS, CONTRACTED CONSULTANTS AND NATIONAL "PARENT" ASSOCIATION. THE WEBSITE SERVES AS THE MOST EFFECTIVE SOURCE OF TWO-WAY COMMUNICATION BETWEEN MEMBERS, LEADERSHIP AND STAFF.
