MAYORS FUND FOR LAS VEGAS LIFE (FUND) WILL ASSIST THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS (CITY) AND THE NEVADA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION (NCF) IN RAISING FUNDS FOR PUBLIC PURPOSES WHICH LESSENS THE BURDENS OF GOVERNMENT FOR THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS. THE FUND IS A TYPE I SUPPORTING ORGANIZATION OF THE CITY AND NCF. THE FUND WILL OBTAIN DONATIONS AND GRANTS FOR PUBLIC PURPOSES INCLUDING PUBLIC SAFETY, EDUCATION AND PARKS IN LAS VEGAS NEVADA. THE FUND WILL MAKE PAYMENTS TO THE CITY, NCF OR VENDORS DIRECTLY FOR CITY APPROVED INITIATIVES FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS AND SERVICES FOR PUBLIC BENEFIT. EXAMPLES OF PUBLIC BENEFIT TO BE SUPPORTED BY THE FUND ARE SECURING EQUIPMENT FOR FIRE, POLICE AND OTHER FIRST RESPONDERS, IMPROVING PARKS WITH PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT AND OTHER CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS, AND FUNDING EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS FOR YOUTH IN LAS VEGAS NEVADA.
