THE ORGANIZATION IS AN ASSOCIATION OF ALASKA NATIVE REGIONAL CORPORATION CEOS. OUR CORPORATIONS ARE OWNED BY OVER 160,000 ALASKA NATIVE PEOPLE AND WERE FORMED UNDER THE ALASKA NATIVE CLAIMS SETTLEMENT ACT OF 1971 (ANCSA). THE ANCSA REGIONAL ASSOCIATION EXISTS TO PROMOTE AND FOSTER THE CONTINUED GROWTH AND ECONOMIC STRENGTH OF THE ALASKA NATIVE REGIONAL CORPORATIONS ON BEHALF OF THEIR SHAREHOLDERS AND DESCENDANTS. THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS INCLUDES ONE REPRESENTATIVE FROM EACH OF THE 12 ALASKA-BASED NATIVE REGIONAL CORPORATIONS.
