NEIGHBORHOOD REVITALIZATION AND COMMUNITY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT WITHIN THE PIONEER SQUARE DISTRICT OF SEATTLE

PROGRAM ACCOMPLISHMENTS INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: ROBUST NEIGHBORHOOD PROMOTION VIA WEBSITE, SOCIAL MEDIA, ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN, PIONEER SQUARE MAP & GUIDE, AND THE IMPLEMENTATION OF A HISTORIC WALKING TOUR. UNDER OUR PUBLIC REALM WORK WE HOSTED A SPRING CLEAN EVENT, ADDRESSED GRAFFITI THROUGHOUT THE NEIGHBORHOOD ALL YEAR LONG, AND ADDED MULTIPLE STREET LEVEL MURALS. OUR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM CONDUCTED TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, ACTIVELY RECRUITED NEW BUSINESSES INTO THE DISTRICT, AND COMPLETED A MARKET STUDY FOR A DEEPER UNDERSTANDING OF HOW TO STEWARD ECONOMIC RECOVERY.


WATERFRONT ACCESS PROGRAM RECEIVED AND AWARDED FUNDING TO NEIGHBORHOOD GROUPS TO MITIGATE THE IMPACTS OF MAJOR CONSTRUCTION ALONG THE ALASKAN WAY CORRIDOR BETWEEN PIONEER SQUARE AND THE CENTRAL WATERFRONT.
