CCI IS A COMMUNITY SERVICE ORGANIZATION THAT SUPPORTS THE CANTWELL VOL FIRE DEPT & AMBULANCE SERVICE, MAINTAINS THE CANTWELL FIREHALL AND SERVES AS AN AGENT TO PROCURE AND ADMINISTER GRANTS AND FUNDS ACCORDING TO THE NEEDS OF THE COMMUNITY.

FIRE SERVICE: PROVIDED FIRE PROTECTION, RESCUE AND EXTRICATION SERVICES FOR THE COMMUNITY OF 244 AS WELL AS PORTIONS OF THE PARKS HIGHWAY AND THE DENALI HIGHWAY. PROVIDED MONTHLY FIRE TRAINING; MAINTAINED EMERGENCY VEHICLES AND PROVIDED BUILDING MAINTENANCE AND UTILITIES FOR THE FIREHALL; PURCHASED AMBULANCE SUPPLIES, PAID FOR EMS TRAINING, PURCHASED PROTECTIVE GEAR AND PAID FOR WORKMANS COMP INSURANCE.


AMBULANCE SERVICE: PROVIDED EMERGENCY MEDICAL CARE (ALS/BLS) AND TRANSPORT FOR THE LOCAL COMMUNITY AS WELL AS PORTIONS OF THE PARKS HIGHWAY AND THE DENALI HIGHWAY; PURCHASED EMS SUPPLIES, PROVIDED EMT TRAINING.


COMMUNITY OF CANTWELL, INC: GRANT FUNDS RECEIVED FROM THE DENALI BOROUGH WERE DISTRIBUTED TO THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND AMBULANCE SERVICE VIA THE INDIVIDUAL FIRE DEPARTMENT AND AMBULANCE CHECKING ACCOUNTS. THE DENALI BOROUGH GRANT FUNDS ARE REIMBURSED FUNDS; SERVICES WRITE CHECKS FOR THE EXPENSES INCURRED BY THEIR SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND CCI IS REIMBURSED BY THE GRANT.
