THE INTERFAITH MOVEMENT FOR HUMAN INTEGRITY WORKS TO ACHIEVE AN EQUITABLE, INCLUSIVE AND HEALTHY SOCIETY, CULTURE, AND ECONOMY WHERE THE MOST VULNERABLE, DISENFRANCHISED AND MARGINALIZED HAVE EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES AND ACCESS TO THE RESOURCES AND TOOLS NEEDED TO ACHIEVE A DIGNIFIED QUALITY OF LIFE.

THE INTERFAITH MOVEMENT FOR HUMAN INTEGRITY (IM4HI) IS A MULTIRACIAL AND MULTIFAITH ORGANIZATION WORKING FOR THE DIGINITY OF IMMIGRANTS AND PEOPLE IMPACTED BY INCARCERATION. WE BRING SPIRITUAL LEADERSHIP TO SOCIAL MOVEMENTS TO DEMAND THE FULL HUMANITY OF EVERY INDIVIDUAL AND ENSURE THE WELL-BEING OF OUR COMMUNITIES. WITH ORGANIZATION ROOTS IN THE 1990S, WE ADVANCE RACIALY EQUITY IN TWO PROGRAM AREAS: IMMIGRANT JUSTICE AND INCARCERATION. IN THE LAST FIVE YEARS, WE HAVE COLLABORATED WITH 360 FAITH COMMUNITIES ACROSS CALIFORNIA, ENLISTED 100 SANCTUARY AND IMMIGRANT-WELCOMING CONGREGATIONS, AND ENGAGED OVER 5,000 PEOPLE OF FAITH IN OUR WORK OF INCLUSION.OUR DAILY ACTIVITY FALLS INTO FOUR CATEGORIES: WE TRAIN PEOPLE IN PUBLIC LEADERSHIP (THOSE IMPACTED BY INCARCERATION OR IMMIGRANT EXCLUSION AND THEIR FAITH ALLIES), EDUCATE THE WIDER PUBLIC ABOUT ISSUES WE WORK ON TO SHAPE THE CIVIC CONVERSATION, ADVOCATE POLICY AND SYSTEM CHANGES THAT REDUCE THE GRIP OF MASS INCARCERATION AND THE DEPORTATION MACHINE, AND PROVIDE CONCRETE ACCOMPANIMENT TO PEOPLE SCARRED BY PRISON, DETENTION, OR THREATS OF DEPORTATION.AS A FAITH-ROOTED ORGANIZATION, WE PROVIDE AN ETHICAL LENS FOR MOVEMENT-BUILDING. WE ASPIRE TO TRANSFORM PUBLIC UNDERSTANDING OF IMMIGRATION AND PUBLIC SAFETY-FROM A FRAMEWORK OF PUNISHMENT AND EXCLUSION TOWARDS A LIBERATING VISION BASED ON DIGNITY AND CARE. WE FOCUS ON THE ROOT CAUSES OF CONTEMPORARY CRISES AND ADVANCE SOLUTIONS THAT FOSTER HEALTHY AND EQUITABLE ECONOMIES. IN RECENT YEARS, OUR ORGANIZATION HAS BEEN A KEY VOICE FOR RACIAL EQUITY, SANCTUARY, STOPPING DEPORTATIONS, SUPPORTING ASYLUM-SEEKERS, CLOSING DETENTION CENTERS, AND DEFENDING THE RIGHTS OF PEOPLE BEHIND BARS.
