THROUGH THE US SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (SBA) ECONOMIC INJURY DISASTER LOAN (EIDL) PROGRAM, FCC HAS HELPED OVER 65 MICROENTERPRISES SECURE LOANS TO FUND THEIR BUSINESS OPERATIONS THROUGH THE PANDEMIC TO SURVIVE UNTIL THE CRISIS HAS PASSED. IN ADDITION, FCC HAS MADE DIRECT LOANS SPECIFICALLY TO MINORITY-OWNED MICROBUSINESSES WHO DID NOT QUALIFY FOR THE SBA EIDL LOAN AND WOULD HAVE OTHERWISE BEEN LEFT WITHOUT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AND FORCED TO CLOSE THEIR BUSINESSES, LIKELY TO NEVER REOPEN.
