SENIOR CENTER: REACH OUT MORONGO BASIN ADMINISTERS THE SENIOR CENTER IN 29 PALMS AND ASSISTS IN THE OPERATION OF THE SENIOR CENTER IN YUCCA VALLEY. THE 29 PALMS CENTER WAS OPEN 44 DAYS IN 2021 AND WAS STAFFED FOR 249 DAYS, HOSTED AN AVERAGE OF 18-30 PEOPLE WHEN OPEN WHICH WERE SERVED LUNCHES, HELD RECREATION ACTIVITIES AND 2 COVID VACCINATION CLINICS.


OTHER SERVICES: REACH OUT MORONGO BASIN PROVIDES A VARIETY OF OTHER SERVICES FOR THE ELDERY AND DISABLED SUCH AS GROCERY SHOPPING, MINOR HOME REPAIRS AND CLEANING, YARD WORK, AND REFERRALS TO OTHER AGENCIES WHO MAY PROVIDE NEEDED SERVICES. DELIVERED 19680 MEALS TO SENIORS AND INDIVIDUALS AFFECTED BY COVID-19, DISTRIBUTED AND DELIVERED 950 FOOD BOXES PROVIDED BY CDBG FUNDING AND 450 FARM TO FAMILY BOXES PROVIDED BY USDA TO LOW INCOME, SENIOR AND DISABLED SENIORS INDIVIDUALS. 48 VOLUNTEERS PROVIDED 3168 HOURS OF SERVICE TO NEIGHBORS IN NEED AND OPERATIONAL SUPPORT.


RESPITE CARE: REACH OUT MORONGO BASIN PROVIDES RESPITE CARE FOR ELDERLY AND DISABLED TO ALLOW CAREGIVERS AN OPPORTUNITY TO GO SHOPPING, TO DOCTORS APPOINTMENTS, AND TO TAKE CARE OF OTHER PERSONAL NEEDS.
