CCHIS MISSION IS TO IMPROVE THE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF CALIFORNIA CHILDREN AND FAMILIES BY SUPPORTING ITS MEMBERS IN MEETING THE NEEDS OF THEIR COMMUNITIES.

CURRENT ACCOMPLISHMENTS IN 2022 INCLUDE NEGOTIATING WITH LA CARE TO INCREASE ITS SERVICE CONTRACT AMOUNT OF $977,564.22 TO $1,948,404.48 IN APRIL 2022. CCHI FINALLY SIGNED THE $24 MILLION SERVICE CONTRACT WITH CSAC TO PROVIDE MEDI-CAL OUTREACH AND ENROLLMENT SERVICES TO POTENTIAL MEDI-CARE BENEFICIARIES THAT RESULTED FROM CCHI'S 2021 STATE BUDGET ASK ADVOCACY EFFORTS. THIS $24 MILLION SERVICE CONTRACT WILL COVER SERVICES BETWEEN APRIL 2022 - JUNE 2024 WITH $16,900,000 SUB-GRANT OUT TO 16 CCHI MEMBERS TO PROVIDE OUTREACH EDUCATION AND ENROLLMENT SERVICES IN AT LEAST 20 COUNTIES IN THE STATE. CCHI ALSO SUBMITTED A PROPOSAL AND RECIEVED A SERVICE CONTRACT WITH THE CENTERS FOR MEDICARE AND MEDICAID SERVICES (CMS) IN JULY 2022 FOR THE AMOUNT OF $1.5 MILLION TO PROVIDE MEDI-CAL OUTREACH AND ENROLLMENT SERVICES TO CHILDREN, PARENTS CARING FOR CHILDREN, AND PREGNANT INDIVIDUALS FOR THE NEXT THREE YEARS. $1.16 MILLION OF THIS $1.5 MILLION CONTRACT WILL BE SUBGRANTED OUT TO SIX MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS TO PROVIDE THE DIRECT OUTREACH AND ENROLLMENT SERVICES.
