THE SCHUYLER CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL (SCHS) FOUNDATION WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1997 TO SUPPORT AND ENRICH THE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS OFFERED BY SCHUYLER COMMUNITY SCHOOLS. SCHUYLER COMMUNITY SCHOOLS HAS DEVELOPED A REPUTATION FOR EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATION. THE SCHOOL DISTRICT CONTINUES TO STRIVE TO PROVIDE THE BEST EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY FOR THE STUDENTS OF THIS SCHOOL DISTRICT. THE SCHUYLER COMMUNITY BOARD OF EDUCATION HAS APPOINTED A SEVEN-MEMBER BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR THE FOUNDATION WHICH IS COMPRISED OF THREE MEMBERS FROM THE COMMUNITY OF SCHUYLER, THREE MEMBERS FROM THE BOARD OF EDUCATION AND THE HIGH SCHOOL SUPERINTENDENT. THE MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS DO NOT RECEIVE ANY FINANCIAL COMPENSATION FOR THEIR SERVICE. MONIES DONATED TO THE SCHUYLER CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL (SCHS) FOUNDATION ARE USED TO BENEFIT THE STUDENTS WHO ARE ATTENDING OR HAVE ATTENDED SCHUYLER CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL. SCHOLARSHIPS ARE ESTABLISHED AND SUBJECT TO APPROVAL. SPECIFIC SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS WOULD ALLOW A DONOR TO NAME THE FUND AND TO GENERALLY PROVIDE CREDITERIA TO BE FOLLOWED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS WHEN AWARDING THE SCHOLARSHIP.
