PET OVER POPULATION PREVENTIONS (POPP) MISSION IS PROMOTE RESPONSIBLE PET OWNERSHIP BY EDUCATING THE PUBLIC REGARDING SPAYING AND NEUTERING THEIR PETS, SPAY/NEUTER ASSISTANCE, AND PROVIDING VARIOUS METHODS OF CARE FOR AND FINDING HOMES FOR FERAL, ABANDONED AND/OR HOMELESS PETS. WE STRIVE TO REDUCE THE NUMBER OF HOMELESS PETS AND REDUCE THE NUMBER OF UNWANTED LITTERS WITHIN OUR COMMUNITY.

FOR THE YEAR ENDED MARCH 31, 2022, PET OVER POPULATION PREVENTION OPERATED THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMS:SPAY AND NEUTER CLINICPET OVER POPULATION PREVENTION (POPP) PROVIDES SPAY/NEUTER VETERINARY PROCEDURES AND VACCINES TO PETS SURRENDERED INTO POPPS ADOPTION PROGRAMS, TO REGION FOSTER AND SHELTER ORGANIZATIONS, AND TO INCOME-QUALIFIED INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES. POPP ALSO PROVIDES THESE SERVICES TO FERAL CATS THAT ARE TRAPPED, NEUTERED, AND RELEASED. 2,821 ANIMALS WERE SPAY/NEUTERED DURING THE YEAR BEING REPORTED.FOSTER/ADOPT SERVICESPET OVER POPULATION PREVENTION (POPP) PROVIDED CARE FOR HUNDREDS OF ANIMALS EACH YEAR, SOME OF WHICH ARE HOUSED BY VOLUNTEERS IN FOSTER HOMES UNTIL THEY ARE ADOPTED. POPP PROVIDES ALL THE SUPPLIES AND MEDICATIONS NEEDED WHILE THE PETS ARE IN FOSTER CARE. OF 542 ANIMALS THAT WERE NEUTERED AND SPAYED AT POPP, 516 WERE ADOPTED OUT DURING THE REPORTING PERIOD.
