TTHE OVERARCHING INTENT OF PACIFIC INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY IS TO HELP STUDENTS ACHIEVE THEIR PERSONAL GOALS IN ENGLISH BY FACILITATING THE ACQUISITION OF LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY REQUIRED IN DAILY COMMUNICATION, HIGHER LEARNING, AND THE PROFESSIONAL WORLD. A CORE VALUE FOR THE PIA COMMUNITY IS PROVIDING A STUDENT-CENTERED ENVIRONMENT THAT FACILITATES INTERPERSONAL CONNECTIONS, CULTURAL EXPLORATION, AND SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY.

SERVED 79 INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS FOR WHOM ENGLISH IS A NON-NATIVE LANGUAGE IN OUR IMMERSION PROGRAM BY PROVIDING INSTRUCTION OF ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE IN A SAFE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT STRUCTURED TO PROMOTE BASIC COMMUNICATION SKILLS AND MORE COMPLEX ACADEMIC SKILLS BASED ON ABILITY LEVELS, AND PROVIDE EXCELLENT OPPORTUNITIES TO LEARN ABOUT AMERICAN CULTURE THROUGH SCHOOL AND COMMUNITY PROJECTS, EVENTS, OUTINGS AND TRIPS. THE EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE STUDENTS RECEIVE HELP STUDENTS ACHIEVE PERSONAL GOALS BY FACILITATING LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY TO PREPARE STUDENTS FOR ACADEMIC COURSE WORK, ENCOURAGE INTELLECTUAL AND ACADEMIC GROWTH, AND PROVIDING ACCREDITED COURSES TO ATTEND A COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY.
