UW PHYSICIANS NETWORK ("THE NETWORK") PROVIDES INCREASED ACCESS TO DIVERSE PATIENT POPULATIONS TO SUPPORT TEACHING, RESEARCHING AND TRAINING. THE NETWORK ALSO SUPPORTS THE CHARITABLE AND PUBLIC MISSION OF THE UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON SCHOOL OF MEDICINE, HARBORVIEW MEDICAL CENTER AND THE UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON MEDICAL CENTER.THE NETWORK IS ALSO ORGANIZED TO COORDINATE AND DEVELOP PATIENT CARE IN A COMMUNITY CLINICAL SETTING TO ENHANCE THE ACADEMIC ENVIRONMENT OF THE UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON SCHOOL OF MEDICINE BY PROVIDING ADDITIONAL SITES OF PRIMARY CARE PRACTICE.
