SUPPORTED THE EFFORTS OF HISTORIC SEATTLE PDA AND WASHINGTON HALL BY GRANTING FUNDS WHICH WERE USED TOWARDS ITS MISSION: SAVING MEANINGFUL PLACES TO FOSTER LIVELY COMMUNITIES.
HISTORIC SEATTLE PRESENTED VIRTUAL AND IN-PERSON PROGRAMS INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING: HISTORIES OF THE WEST SEATTLE STREETCAR, STIMSON GREEN MANSION, ART DECO IN SEATTLE, CAYTON-REVELS HOUSE, AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF LAKE UNION; FILIPINO AMERICAN GATHERING PLACES IN SEATTLE WERE EXPLORED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE FILIPINO AMERICAN NATIONAL HISTORICAL SOCIETY; CANDACY TAYLOR GAVE A VIRTUAL TALK ABOUT HER BOOK, OVERGROUND RAILROAD: THE GREEN BOOK AND THE ROOTS OF BLACK TRAVEL IN AMERICA; HISTORIC SEATTLE CO-HOSTED A TWO-DAY CONFERENCE ON EQUITY IN THE LANDMARK DESIGNATION PROCESS; A VIRTUAL PROGRAM EXPLORED THE LIFE OF ICONIC NEON SIGN DESIGNER, BEA HAVERFIELD; IN PARTNERSHIP WITH HISTORYLINK, THE HISTORY COLLECTIVE SERIES PRESENTED SELF-GUIDED TOURS AND DISCUSSION ON THE HISTORY OF THE CENTRAL DISTRICT, CENTRAL WATERFRONT, AND THE PIKE PLACE MARKET.
