VIOLENT CRIME VICTIM SERVICES SEEKS TO PROVIDE SERVICES IN OUR COMMUNITY FOR CO-VICTIMS OF HOMICIDE. WE ENDEAVOR TO ACT AS AN ADVOCATE FOR THE FAMILIES BY OFFERING THEM PEER SUPPORT GROUPS, PEER COURT SUPPORT, CRISIS INTERVENTION, MENTAL HEALTH REFERRALS AND FAITH COMMUNITY REFERRALS.

VIOLENT CRIME VICTIM SERVICES PROVIDED SUPPORT AND SERVICES TO 714 INDIVIDUALS AFFECTED BY HOMICIDE. WE FACILITATED 406 IMMEDIATE CRISIS INTERVENTIONS TO CRIME VICTIMS. IN ADDITION, WE ASSISTED 157 FAMILIES WITH MEETING THEIR EMERGENCY FINANCIAL NEEDS. OUR VOLUNTEERS PROVIDED NEARLY 720 HOURS OF JUDICIAL COURTROOM SUPPORT TO VICTIMS. STAFF AND INTERNS PROVIDED OVER 2,200 HOURS OF PEER SUPPORT GROUPS AND INDIVIDUAL COUNSEL TO CRIME VICTIMS AS WELL AS 720 HOURS OF COURTROOM SUPPORT. WE ALSO ADDED AN ADDITIONAL SUPPORT GROUP TO OUR PROGRAM SERVICES TO MEET THE DEMAND IN OUR COMMUNITY.
