SEXUAL VIOLENCE LAW CENTER (SVLC) IS A NONPROFIT LAW FIRM THAT PROTECTS THE PRIVACY, SAFETY, AND CIVIL RIGHTS OF SURVIVORS OF SEXUAL AND GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE IN WASHINGTON THROUGH HOLISTIC AND TRAUMA-INFORMED PRACTICES BASED IN RACIAL AND GENDER EQUITY PRINCIPLES.

HOLISTIC LEGAL REPRESENTATION OF SURVIVORS IN DIFFERENT PRACTICE AREAS RELATED TO THEIR ABUSE--PROTECTION ORDERS, TITLE IX, EMPLOYMENT, HOUSING, IMMIGRATION, VICTIMS RIGHTS, PRIVACY AND MORE (SVLC ASSISTED APPROXIMATELY 250 SURVIVORS DURING 2022 WHICH WAS ABOUT 40% OF PROGRAM TIME).


STATEWIDE LEGAL RESOURCE LINE WHERE SURVIVORS AND ADVOCATES CAN SPEAK TO AN SVLC ATTORNEY AND RECEIVE UP TO DATE INFORMATION ABOUT LEGAL OPTIONS, LEGAL RESOURCES, AND THEIR RIGHTS RELATED TO THEIR CASES INVOLVING SEXUAL ASSAULT, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, STALKING, SEXUAL HARASSMENT OR TRAFFICKING (SVLC ASSISTED APPROXIMATELY 550 SURVIVORS AND 150 ADVOCATES IN 2022 THROUGH IT'S LEGAL LINE WHICH WAS ABOUT 40% OF PROGRAM TIME)


CLINICS FOR SURVIVORS, ALONG WITH TRAINING AND WORKSHOPS FOR ATTORNEYS, ADVOCATES, JUDGES AND OTHER PROVIDERS WHO ARE SERVING OR WORKING WITH SURVIVORS OF SEXUAL AND GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE (IN 2022 SVLC PROVIDED OVER 25 TRAININGS AND EDUCATED OVER 1600 INDIVIDUALS ON RIGHTS AND ADVOCACY OPTIONS FOR SURVIVORS, TAKING ABOUT 20% OF PROGRAM TIME).
