THE DISTRICT HAD PLANNED TO CONDUCT FOUR TOURNAMENTS IN 2021 AS WELL AS TWO MULTI-LEVEL COMPETITIONS. HOWEVER, DUE TO COVID-19, THE TOURNAMENTS WERE CANCELLED AND THE MULTI-LEVEL COMPETITIONS WERE MOVED TO ONLINE EVENTS. SOME PROMOTIONAL AND OTHER COSTS WERE INCURRED DESPITE THE CANCELLATIONS. NORMALLY, THE DISTRICT PROVIDES GRANTS TO QUALIFYING PAIRS AND TEAMS IN MULTI-LEVEL EVENTS BUT NO GRANTS WERE PROVIDED THIS YEAR AS HIGHER LEVELS OF THE EVENTS WERE ALSO HELD ONLINE AT NO COST TO THE PARTICIPANTS.
