TO SAVE THE LIVES OF HOMELESS, INJURED, AND UNWANTED ANIMALS IN WASHINGTON STATE AND TO (SEE SCH O) PROVIDE FINANCIAL AID FOR THE SPAYING AND NEUTERING OF DOGS AND CATS.

CASCADE ANIMAL PROTECTION SOCIETY PAID FOR EMERGENCY VETERINARY TREATMENT FOR 366 ANIMALS WHOSE OWNERS COULD NOT AFFORD TO PAY FOR TREATMENT. THOSE ANIMALS WOULD HAVE GONE UNTREATED WITHOUT THIS ASSISTANCE. TWO CATS AND ONE DOG WERE ADOPTED OUT. LOW INCOME AND SENIOR CITIZENS WERE ISSUED 78 CERTIFICATES THAT ENABLED THEM TO SPAY AND NEUTER THEIR COMPANION CATS AND DOGS. GRANTS WERE PROVIDED TO SIX 501(C)3 ANIMAL RESCUE ORGANIZATIONS TO ASSIST THEM WITH THEIR MISSION.LONG-TERM FOSTER CARE WAS PROVIDED FOR 32 CATS. PET FOOD WAS DISTRIBUTED TO FIVE LOCAL FOOD BANKS TO AID PET OWNERS WHO WERE STRUGGLING TO AFFORD FOOD FOR THEIR PETS. WE ALSO ASSISTED PEOPLE IN PREPARING FOR THE CARE OF THEIR (SEE SCH O) ANIMALS IN CASES OF SUDDEN ILLNESS OR DEATH.
