THE NW ENERGY COALITION ADVOCATES FOR CLEAN AND AFFORDABLE ENERGY. IN POLICY VENUES THROUGHOUT THE NORTHWEST, WE PROMOTE ENERGY EFFICIENCY, RENEWABLE ENERGY, CONSUMER PROTECTION, LOW-INCOME ENERGY PROGRAMS, AND FISH AND WILDLIFE RESTORATION IN THE COLUMBIA RIVER BASIN.

POLICY: THE COALITION ENGAGES IN IN-DEPTH POLICY ANALYSIS AND ADVOCACY ON A WIDE RANGE OF ENERGY POLICY AND REGULATORY ISSUES AT THE UTILITY, STATE, REGIONAL AND FEDERAL LEVEL. NWEC CONVENES DISPARATE VOICES AND PERSPECTIVES TO ENGAGE IN DIALOGUE, COME TO A COMMON UNDERSTANDING AND MOVE FORWARD WITH SHARED SOLUTIONS. OUR WORK ADVANCES UTILITY AND GOVERNMENT ENERGY EFFICIENCY AND RENEWABLE ENERGY PROGRAMS TO REDUCE CLIMATE POLLUTION AND CREATE AN EQUITABLE CLEAN ENERGY SYSTEM, INCLUDING ENERGY CODES AND STANDARDS, LOW-INCOME AND EQUITY-FOCUSED ENERGY PROGRAMS, COMMUNITY AND UTILITY SCALE RENEWABLE ENERGY, AND POWER MARKET AND TRANSMISSION PLANNING.
