YOUTH: OUR YOUTH PROGRAMS ENGAGE OVER 200 STUDENTS WITH A FOCUS ON ENGLISH COMPREHENSION. WE PROVIDE ONE-ON-ONE HOMEWORK HELP TO PUT STUDENTS ON A PATH TO ACADEMIC SUCCESS AND GREATER SELF-SUFFICIENCY. WE OFFER A RANGE OF AFTER-SCHOOL CLASSES AND ACTIVTIES BASED ON STUDENT INTEREST SPANNING THE ARTS, ROBOTICS, SERVICE LEARNING, SPORTS AND MORE.
JOBS: THE JOB READINESS TRAINING PROGRAM ENGAGES YOUTH AND THEIR FAMILIES IN JOB TRAINING, FAMILY SELF-SUFFICENCY CLASSES, POST SECONDARY EDUATION PREPARATION AND PARENT EDUCATION CLASSES. STUDENTS ENVISION, PLAN AND CARRY OUT A COLLABORATIVE COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT. THE PROGRAM CULMINATES IN A PAID SUMMER INTERNSHIP.

WE CREATE OPPORTUNITIES FOR INDIVIDUAL AND GORUP LEARNING USING EQUITABLE AND TRAUMA-INFORMED, RESTORATIVE PRACTICES. WE TAKE A MULTI-GENERATIONAL APPROACH THAT ENGAGES PARENTS AND YOUTH S WELL AS GUARDIANS, AUNTS AND UNCLES, AND GRANDPARENTS. CURRENLTY OUR CLASSES FOCUS ON ENGLISH AND LITERACY, COMPUTER, AND COMMUNITY BUILDING.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AND OTHER PROGRAMS: WE KNOW THAT OUR FAMILIES CANNOT ENGAGE IN OUR ACADEMIC SUPPORT PROGRAMS IF THEIR BASIC NEEDS ARE NOT BEING MET. WE PROVIDE OUR FAMILIES WITH WEEKLY FRESH GROCERIES, BASIC HOUSEHOLD ITEMS, COVID SAFETY EQUIPMENT, AND WEATHER APPROPRIATE CLOTHING.
