GLOBAL NEIGHBORHOOD PROVIDES JOB-TRAINING TO FORMER-REFUGEES IN SPOKANE AT ITS BUSINESS GLOBAL NEIGHBORHOOD THRIFT. IN ADDITION, GLOBAL NEIGHBORHOOD MATCHES AMERICAN VOLUNTEERS AND INTERNS TO THESE FORMER-REFUGEES TO PROVIDE ENGLISH TUTORING, DRIVERS EDUCATION, AND RELATIONAL CARE. GLOBAL NEIGHBORHOOD ALSO RECEIVES DONATIONS OF CLOTHING, FURNITURE, AND HOUSEHOLD GOODS FROM THE COMMUNITY. THE DONATED ITEMS ARE PROCESSED THROUGH GLOBAL NEIGHBORHOOD THRIFT. A THRIFT STORE IS OPEN TO THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY OF SPOKANE, WA. GLOBAL NEIGHBORHOOD THRIFT PROVIDES A HEALTHY AND DIVERSE PLACE TO PRACTICE JOB-SKILLS, ENGLISH, AND COMMUNICATION. GLOBAL NEIGHBORHOOD STAFF AND KEY EMPLOYEES PROVIDE ONE-ON-ONE JOB TRAINING TO FORMER-REFUGEES AT THE BUSINESS AND OFFER GUIDANCE IN FINDING PERMANENT EMPLOYMENT AFTER THEIR TRAINING REGIMEN IS COMPLETED. PROVIDING JOB TRAINING AND EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES TO FORMER REFUGEES SO THEY CAN GAIN THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NECESSARY TO FIND LONG-TERM EMPLOYMENT. IN 2020, GLOBAL NEIGHBORHOOD PROVIDED 2,120 HOURS OF JOB TRAINING TO FORMER REFUGEES.
