VOLUNTEER HOSPICE OF CLALLAM COUNTY'S (VHOCC) MISSION IS TO PROVIDE PHYSICAL, EMOTIONAL, AND SPIRITUAL SUPPORT TO TERMINALLY ILL PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES WITH FREE AROUND THE CLOCK REGISTERED NURSING AVAILABILITY AND TRAINED VOLUNTEERS. THIS TRANSLATES TO DIRECT NURSING CARE AND CERTIFIED NURSING AIDE SUPPORT FOR HOSPICE AND PALLIATIVE PATIENTS; RESPITE, GRIEF, BEREAVEMENT, AND SPIRITUAL SUPPORT; A FREE MEDICAL EQUIPMENT LENDING CLOSET AVAILABLE TO ANYONE IN THE COMMUNITY; AND, MEDICAL EQUIPMENT DELIVERY TO HOUSEHOLDS.

IN 2023, VHOCC PROVIDED NURSING CARE/HOSPICE AIDE SUPPORT TO 278 PATIENTS (2,305 NURSE VISITS, 1,258 HOSPICE AIDE VISITS; 4,189 DIRECT PATIENT SUPPORT HOURS).


VHOCC PROVIDED 1,974 HOURS OF RESPITE, GRIEF, BEREAVEMENT, AND SPIRITUAL SUPPORT.


VHOCC SUPPORTED 4,410 COMMUNITY MEMBER VISITS TO THE MEDICAL EQUIPMENT LENDING CLOSET. VHOCC PROVIDED 2,122 HOURS/9,266 MILES OF MEDICAL EQUIPMENT DELIVERY TO HOUSEHOLDS FROM DIAMOND POINT TO JOYCE.
