THE MISSION OF THE SEATTLE ROTARY SERVICE FOUNDATION IS TO ACCOMPLISH THE GREATEST GOOD POSSIBLE IN THE LIVES OF THOSE WE HELP WITH FUNDS PROVIDED MAINLY BY MEMBERS OF THE ROTARY CLUB OF SEATTLE (SEATTLE #4).

ERADICATE MALARIA: SRSF WAS SELECTED BY THE BILL & MELINDA GATES FOUNDATION TO ACT AS THE FISCAL SPONSOR TO FACILITATE PROVIDING UP TO $750,000 IN MATCHING SUPPORT FOR ROTARY MALARIA PROJECTS, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH ROTARIAN MALARIA PARTNERS, WHICH INCLUDE SUPPORTING COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKERS IN ZAMBIA, PROVIDING INDOOR MOSQUITO SPRAYING IN GHANA, AND PROVIDING MALARIA EDUCATION IN GAMBIA AND SENEGAL.

HOMELESSNESS OUTREACH: SRSF, IN PARTNRSHIP WITH THE DOWNTOWN SEATTLE ASSOCIATION (DSA) METROPOLITAN IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT, WAS ABLE TO HAND OUT MORE THAN 600 OUTREACH KITS TO INDIVIDUALS EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS IN DOWNTOWN SEATTLE WHICH SUPPLIED THEIR BASIC NEEDS FOR WARMTH AND HYGIENE. THE TEAM ALSO ASSISTED 103 INDIVIDUALS IN GETTING THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTS TO OBTAIN A WASHINGTON STATE IDENTIFICATION CARDS. AND, THEY ASSISTED 21 INDIVIDUALS TO MOVE INTO PERMANENT HOUSING BY COVERING THEIR MOVE-IN COSTS.
