BUSINESS AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENTCOVID-19 RELIEF GRANTSIN PARTNERSHIP WITH SOREDI AND THE SBDC AT ROGUE COMMUNITY COLLEGE, IVCANDO WAS ENTRUSTED TO DISTRIBUTE $675K IN COVID RELIEF FUNDS. FUNDS PROVIDED FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO SMALL BUSINESSES ADVERSELY AFFECTED BY COVID-19 HEALTH RESTRICTIONSTHE REVOLVING LOAN FUND:THE REVOLVING LOAN FUND CONTINUES TO BE AN IMPORTANT ASSET TO NEW AND EXISTING BUSINESSES. SINCE ITS INCEPTION IN 2000, 155 LOANS HAVE BEEN MADE IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,053,447.21 (NOT INCLUDING BALANCE TRANSFERS). THERE WERE 6 NEW LOANS MADE IN 2022. THOSE LOANS TOTALED $109,208.01. CURRENTLY THERE ARE 24 OUTSTANDING LOANS WITH A BALANCE OF $254,231.79

NOW IN ITS 8TH YEAR, RIVERSTARS IS RECOGNIZED STATEWIDE FOR ITS INNOVATION IN A RURAL AREA.BEYOND BOOM & BUSTBEYOND BOOM & BUST IS A PROFESSIONAL ARTS INITIATIVE THAT CULTIVATES RURAL ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL RESILIENCE AND VITALITY THROUGH PERFORMANCE IN SOUTHWESTERN OREGON. 2021'S MAJOR PROJECT, OUT DANCE PROJECT WAS AIMED AT CONNECTING RURAL QUEERS ACROSS REGIONS IN OREGON THROUGH STORY AND DANCE. STORIES WERE COLLECTED FROM RURAL LGBTQ+ FOLKS FROM ACROSS OREGON ABOUT PERSONALLY SIGNIFICANT SONGS. DANCES THAT WERE CHOREOGRAPHED TO THESE SONGS WERE THEN PERFORMED BY OUR LGBTQ DANCE ENSEMBLE IN A COVID FRIENDLY VIRTUAL PERFORMANCE THAT BENEFITED ORGANIZATIONS ACROSS THE STATE.
