CAREERVILLAGE IS AN ONLINE ADVISING PROGRAM FOR YOUTH. OUR PROGRAM HELPS YOUNG PEOPLE GET CAREER ADVICE THEY CAN USE TO BECOME BETTER PREPARED FOR THEIR FUTURES. WE USE A CROWD-SOURCING MODEL TO PROVIDE ADVICE AT A LARGE SCALE THROUGH AN ONLINE PLATFORM WE BUILT. SUPPORTING SUB-PROGRAMS INCLUDE 1. PLATFORM DEVELOPMENT - DESIGNING, DEVELOPING, TESTING, AND MAINTAINING THE SOFTWARE PLATFORM AND INFRASTRUCTURE NEEDED TO SUPPORT OUR ONLINE ADVISING PROGRAM. 2. COMMUNITY OUTREACH - INITIATIVES TO ATTRACT, ENGAGE, RETAIN, AND REWARD OUR COMMUNITY OF STUDENTS, VOLUNTEERS, EDUCATORS, AND OTHERS. THIS INCLUDES USER SUPPORT, STORYTELLING, AWARENESS-BUILDING CAMPAIGNS, AND MORE.
