THE ASSOCIATION'S PURPOSE IS THE PROVISION OF FORMS FOR USE BY APARTMENT COMMUNITIES TO ASSIST THEM WITH LEASE AGREEMENTS.THE PURPOSE OF THE ASSOCIATION SHALL BE TO PROVIDE A STATEWIDE ORGANIZATION TO PROMOTE THE INTERESTS OF PERSONS, FIRMS, PARTNERSHIPS, ASSOCIATIONS AND CORPORATIONS WHO DEVELOP, OWN, MAINTAIN OR MANAGE MULTIFAMILY RESIDENTIAL HOUSING; TO INFORM MEMBERS ABOUT CURRENT ISSUES AND INTERESTS, INCLUDING LEGISLATIVE ACTIVITIES; TO PROMOTE AND SUPPORT THE EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF THE MULTIFAMILY RESIDENTIAL PROFESSIONAL AND TO CONDUCT SUCH ACTIVITIES AS ARE NECESSARY TO CARRY OUT THE GOALS OF THE ASSOCIATION.MAJOR CONCERNS & GOALS OF THE ORGANIZATION INCLUDE SERVING AS THE LEGISLATIVE ARM FOR THE FIVE LOCAL APARTMENT ASSOCIATIONS OF SC THAT ARE MEMBERS OF THE GCAA, UNDERSTANDING RULES OR REGULATIONS REGARDING MULTY-FAMILY HOUSING, AND GETTING EXPEDITED EVICTION LEGISLATION, SUBMETERING LEGISLATION, & PROPERTY-TAX COALITION REFORM PASSED.
