TO INSPIRE A LOVE OF LEARNING SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING AND MATH (STEM) BY PROVIDING UNIQUE OPPORTUNITIES TO EXPLORE AND CREATE.

PROGRAM SERVICES ARE PROVIDED AT THE CHILDREN'S SCIENCE CENTER LAB, IN COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAMS AND IN CREATING A NEW REGIONAL SCIENCE CENTER. DURING THIS 6 MONTH PERIOD, THE LAB, AN INTERACTIVE MUSEUM THAT FOCUSES ON CHILDREN AGES 2-12, WAS VISITED BY 630 INDIVIDUALS. THE LAB OFFERS FOUR HANDS-ON STEM EXPERIENCE AREAS: THE EXPERIMENT BAR, INSPIRATION HUB, TINKER SHOP AND DISCOVERY ZONE. COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAMS SERVED 161 INDIVIDUALS; VIRTUAL PROGRAMS SERVED 8,684 INDIVIDUALS WITH LIVE-ONLINE EXPERIENCES, PRE-RECORDED VIDEOS, PREPARED ACTIVITIES, AND PRE-PACKAGED STEM KITS. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO WORKED WITH DESIGNERS AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO DESIGN THE FACILITY, EXHIBITS AND PROGRAMS FOR THE FUTURE 70,000 SQ FT SCIENCE CENTER.


DURING THIS 12 MONTH PERIOD, THE LAB, AN INTERACTIVE MUSEUM THAT FOCUSES ON CHILDREN AGES 2-12, WAS VISITED BY 15,487 INDIVIDUALS. THE LAB OFFERS FOUR HANDS-ON STEM EXPERIENCE AREAS: THE EXPERIMENT BAR, INSPIRATION HUB, TINKER SHOP AND DISCOVERY ZONE. COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAMS SERVED AN ADDITIONAL 8,541 INDIVIDUALS; VIRTUAL PROGRAMS SERVED 1,974 INDIVIDUALS WITH LIVE-ONLINE EXPERIENCES; PRE-PACKAGED STEM KITS WERE DELIVERED TO 1,979 INDIVIDUALS. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO WORKED WITH DESIGNERS AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO DESIGN THE FACILITY, EXHIBITS AND PROGRAMS FOR THE FUTURE 70,000 SQ FT SCIENCE CENTER.
