TO STIMULATE CHILDREN'S IMAGINATION, CURIOSITY AND LOVE OF LEARNING SO THAT THEY MIGHT LEARN AMAZING THINGS ABOUT THEMSELVES AND THE WORLD IN WHICH THEY LIVE THROUGH INFORMAL HANDS-ON CHILD DIRECTED EXPERIENCES. THE MUSEUM OFFERS EDUCATIONAL EXHIBITS AND PROGRAMS TO CHILDREN.

THE WILMINGTON CHILDREN'S MUSEUM HAS BEEN SERVING OUR COMMUNITY FOR 25 YEARS. WE WELCOME APPROXIMATELY 43,000 VISITORS FROM ALL ACROSS THE COUNTRY ANNUALLY AND 20% OF OUR ADMISSIONS ARE PROVIDED AT A FREE OR REDUCED RATE. THE CHILDREN'S MUSEUM PROVIDES 17,000 SQUARE FEET OF INTERACTIVE EXHIBIT SPACE, DAILY PROGRAMS, FIELD TRIPS, BIRTHDAY PARTIES AND SUMMER CAMPS. WE ALSO WORK WITH A VARIETY OF COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS TO PROVIDE OUTREACH. WE ALL KNOW THE VALUE OF PLAY IN THE HEALTHY DEVELOPMENT OF A CHILD AND THE WILMINGTON CHILDREN'S MUSEUM SUPPORTS CREATIVE PLAY BY PROVIDING ACTIVITES FOCUSED ON STEM, LITERACY AND THE ARTS.
