CHAIS WORKS WITH LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AND SEARCH AND RESCUE AGENCIES TO DEPLOY TRACKING AND TRAILING AND HUMAN REMAINS DETECTION DOGS TO ASSIST IN RESCUING LOST PEOPLE OR RECOVERING THEIR REMAINS. ALL DEPLOYMENTS ARE VOLUNTEER BASED, NO ONE IS COMPENSATED FOR THE DEPLOYMENTS AND NO COMPENSATION IS ACCEPTED FROM THE VICTIMS, THEIR FAMILIES, OR THE AGENCIES CHAIS WORKS WITH. ACQUIRED EQUIPMENT REMAINS UNDER THE ORGANIZATION'S CARE WHEN NOT IN USE AND IS SIGNED OUT TO CHAIS MEMBERS ONLY WHEN NEEDED. IN 2023 HAM RADIO EQUIPMENT WAS ACQUIRED AND IS DISTRIBUTED TO CHAIS MEMBERS DURING DEPLOYMENTS TO MAINTAIN COMMUNICATION DURING DEPLOYMENTS.
