OREGON EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION (OEMA) HOLDS REGULARLY SCHEDULED QUARTERLY MEMBERSHIP MEETINGS IN EACH SECTION OF THE STATE (NORTH, EAST, SOUTH AND WEST).EACH FALL, TYPICALLY IN LATE SEPTEMBER OR EARLY OCTOBER, OEMA HOLDS THEIR ANNUAL 3 DAY CONFERENCE, OPEN TO BOTH PUBLIC AND PRIVATE INDUSTRY.THE CURRENT PAST PRESIDENT OF OREGON EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION (AKA THE ASSOCIATION) MAINTAINS LIAISON WITH STATE AND FEDERAL LEGISLATORS AND APPROPRIATE ASSOCIATIONS, COMMITTEES, AND TASK FORCES IN MATTERS RELATING TO EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT. THE PAST PRESIDENT ALSO MONITORS LEGISLATION OF INTEREST TO THE ASSOCIATION AND ITS MEMBERSHIP AND MAKES RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE EXECUTIVE BOARD REGARDING ASSOCIATION POSITIONS RELATIVE TO LEGISLATIVE ISSUES.
