1) PUBLICIZE RESEARCH AND OTHER SCHOLARLY WORK ABOUT COMPASSION:- THE GLOBAL COMPASSION COALITION (GCC) WEBSITE PROVIDES A HOME FOR COMPASSION-RELATED RESEARCH AND OTHER SCHOLARSHIP, WORLDWIDE. AS WELL AS HOSTING THE LATEST ACADEMIC ARTICLES, THE WEBSITE WILL SHOWCASE THAT RESEARCH IN EASY-TO-DIGEST FORMATS SUCH AS THROUGH ARTICLES, VIDEOS, AND BLOGS. THE GCC WILL ALSO AMPLIFY THE WORK OF COMPASSION SCHOLARS IN HAVING THEIR FINDINGS PUBLISHED IN THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA AND VIA SOCIAL MEDIA.- STARTING IN JANUARY, 2023, THE GCC WEBSITE WILL POST A MONTHLY DIGEST ON THE LATEST COMPASSION-RELATED RESEARCH, STARTING WITH WORK PUBLISHED IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE.- THE GCC HOSTS REGULAR INDIVIDUAL PRESENTATIONS AS WELL AS GROUP PANELS ON THE SCIENCE AND APPLICATION OF COMPASSION.2) ADVANCE THE TEACHING OF COMPASSION:- THE GCC WEBSITE CONTAINS NUMEROUS STRUCTURED VIDEO EXPERIENCES AS WELL AS WRITTEN GUIDES TO CULTIVATE COMPASSION.- THE GCC WEBSITE HAS AN INTERNATIONAL DIRECTORY OF ORGANIZATIONS OFFERING TRAININGS IN COMPASSION.- THE GCC FACILITATES EFFICIENT CONNECTIONS BETWEEN THOSE WORKING IN COMPASSION RESEARCH AND THE EDUCATORS WHO ARE TEACHING COMPASSION THERAPY AND TRAINING.3) PROMOTE THE APPLICATION OF COMPASSION IN VARIOUS SETTINGS AND FOR VARIOUS POPULATIONS- THE GCC WEBSITE CONTAINS DETAILED INFORMATION ABOUT HOW COMPASSION CAN BE APPLIED IN EDUCATION, HEALTHCARE, FAMILIES, AND OTHER SETTINGS. - THE GCC FOSTERS INTEREST GROUPS RELATED TO PARTICULAR TYPES OF APPLIED COMPASSION, SUCH AS RELATED TO MEN AND BOYS, OR IN BUSINESSES.- THE GCC FOSTERS WORKING GROUPS IN SOME OF THESE TYPES OF APPLIED COMPASSION TO DEVELOP INITIATIVES, SUCH AS CALLS FOR SPECIFIC RESEARCH.4) BRING COMPASSION INTO PUBLIC LIFE:- THE ABOVE WORK, BY ITSELF, HELPS TO FURTHER THE UNDERSTANDING AND PRACTICE OF COMPASSION IN OUR CULTURES AND SOCIETIES.- ADDITIONALLY, WE SUSTAIN A SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGN THROUGH MULTIPLE CHANNELS (E.G., FACEBOOK, INSTAGRAM) FOR THE VALUE OF COMPASSIONATE THINKING AND LIVING.- OUR WEBSITE ALSO USES CASE STUDIES, HIGHLIGHTING NEW RESEARCH, COMMENT PIECES, AND VIDEOS TO MAKE THE CASE FOR COMPASSIONATE APPROACHES TO HOME AND WORK LIFE.- AND THROUGH SOCIAL MEDIA, OUR EVENTS PROGRAM (OF PRESENTATIONS AND PANELS), AND LISTINGS ON OUR WEBSITE, WE HELP TO AMPLIFY THE WORK OF OTHER NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS THAT ARE BRING COMPASSION INTO OUR PUBLIC LIFE.- ALL OF THIS ACTIVITY IS DONE IN A STRICTLY NON-PARTISAN MANNER.
