WOMEN AND GIRLS MOVEMENT BUILDING PROGRAM. THIS PROGRAM AIMS TO EMPOWER WOMEN AND GIRLS TO BECOME LEADERS AND ADVOCATES FOR GENDER EQUALITY. THE GOALS ARE TO STRENGTHEN WOMEN AND GIRLS TO BE CHAMPIONS OF GENDER EQUALITY ISSUES, BUILD COMMUNITY AND CONNECTIONS AMONG THESE GENDER EQUALITY ADVOCATES TO SUPPORT ONE ANOTHER, AND LEVERAGE ONLINE PLATFORMS LIKE CHANGE.ORG TO AMPLIFY THEIR VOICES AND SCALE UP THEIR IMPACT FOR DRIVING SYSTEMIC AND LASTING CHANGE IN GENDER EQUALITY. THE PROGRAM WILL PROVIDE TRAINING, LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT, NETWORKING AND PLATFORM SUPPORT TO HELP WOMEN AND GIRL ACTIVISTS AND CHANGEMAKERS ADVANCE SOCIAL CHANGE EFFORTS ON GENDER EQUALITY ISSUES MOST IMPORTANT TO THEM ACROSS SECTORS LIKE HEALTH, EDUCATION, ECONOMIC EQUITY, AND SAFETY.
CHANGEMAKING IN AFRICA. THIS PROGRAM SUPPORTS MARGINALIZED GROUPS AND EXISTING CHANGEMAKERS IN KENYA, NIGERIA AND SOUTH AFRICA TO ENHANCE THEIR DIGITAL CAMPAIGNING AND ADVOCACY CAPACITIES. THE GOALS ARE TO STRENGTHEN CIVIC ENGAGEMENT AND FUEL SYSTEMS AND SOCIAL CHANGE IN THESE COUNTRIES BY BUILDING SKILLS AND POWER FOR DIGITAL ACTIVISM. THE PROGRAM WILL HELP GRANTEES BUILD THEIR DIGITAL CAMPAIGNING KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS THROUGH TRAINING AND SUPPORT IN AREAS LIKE ONLINE ORGANIZING, STORYTELLING, MOBILIZING, AND INFLUENCING DECISION MAKERS. THE AIM IS TO EMPOWER THESE GROUPS TO DRIVE SOCIAL CHANGE ON THE ISSUES MOST AFFECTING THEM LIKE HEALTH, EDUCATION, ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES, AND HUMAN RIGHTS, BY EFFECTIVELY USING DIGITAL PLATFORMS FOR AWARENESS, ADVOCACY AND ACCOUNTABILITY. THIS GRANT BRINGS CHANGE.ORG'S EXPERTISE IN DIGITAL CAMPAIGNING TOGETHER WITH GROUPS THAT HAVE DEEP COMMUNITY TIES AND RELATIONSHIPS TO SUPPORT LASTING SOCIAL CHANGE IN THEIR CONTEXTS.
NET ZERO EMISSIONS CAMPAIGNING. THE PROJECT WILL EMPOWER CITIZENS TO ADVOCATE FOR CLIMATE ACTION THROUGH DIGITAL ORGANIZING AND CAMPAIGNING ON THE CHANGE.ORG PLATFORM. THE ACTIVITIES AIM TO EDUCATE AND ENGAGE THE PUBLIC ON CLIMATE ISSUES MOST AFFECTING THEIR CONTEXTS, AND SUPPORT THEM TO CALL ON LEADERS FOR POLICY CHANGES NEEDED TO REDUCE EMISSIONS AND BUILD CLIMATE RESILIENCE. THIS INCLUDES TRAINING FOR ACTIVISTS AND MOVEMENT BUILDERS ON EFFECTIVE NARRATIVE AND FRAMING, CAMPAIGN STRATEGY, ONLINE MOBILIZING AND INFLUENCING DECISION MAKERS. THE GRANT ALSO PROVIDES PLATFORM ENHANCEMENT TO OPTIMIZE CHANGE.ORG FOR CLIMATE CAMPAIGNING IN THESE COUNTRIES.
