TO PROVIDE RESOURCES, CONFERENCES, AND INFORMATION TO EXPAND, EMPOWER, AND PROTECT WOMENS SPORTS. TO EDUCATE, UPHOLD, AND DEFEND THE ORIGINAL INTENTION OF TITLE IX, PROTECTING WOMEN ON THE BASIS OF SEX. TO CREATE AN IMPACTFUL NETWORK OF FEMALE ATHLETES.

Part 3 - Line 4a

SUPPORTING CIVIL RIGHTS BASED LEGAL ACTIONS THAT SUPPORT, PROTECT AND UPHOLD WOMEN'S RIGHTS ON THE BASIS OF SEX AND TITLE IX. THE ORGANIZATION HAS SUPPORTED AND ENGAGED WITH LEGAL ACTIONS THAT: (1) PROTECT THE RIGHTS OF WOMEN IN SPORTS, (2) PROTECT FAIR COMPETITION, (3) PURSUE PHYSICAL PROTECTIONS FROM HARM IN SPORTS COMPETITIONS, (4) HOLD ATHLETIC COMPETITION OFFICIALS, STATES, UNIVERSITIES, AND GOVERNING BODIES, BOTH NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL, ACCOUNTABLE FOR WOMEN'S RIGHT TO FAIR COMPETITION, AND (5) PROTECT WOMEN'S FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHTS TO SPEAK OUT IN DEFENSE OF THEIR SEX-BASED RIGHTS. THIS INCLUDED COSTS OF PREPARATION FOR LITIGATION AND CONSULTING WITH LAWYERS OVER THE LEGAL RIGHTS OF WOMEN, FILING A LEGAL DEMAND LETTER THREATENING A LAWSUIT, AND EXPENSES FOR AMICUS BRIEFS AND PRINTING COSTS FOR THOSE BRIEFS. IN ADDITION, RESOURCES WERE USED TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC THROUGH CONFERENCES, THE MEDIA, AND OTHER APPROACHES REGARDING THE RIGHTS OF WOMEN IN SPORTS, THE VALUE AND IMPORTANCE OF TITLE IX AS WRITTEN AND ITS PROTECTION, AND ACTIVE AND POTENTIAL LEGAL ACTIONS. TIME AND EFFORT HAS BEEN MADE TOWARD UNDERSTANDING HOW TO USE LEGAL PROTECTIONS AND TO DETERMINE THE MANNER OF FUTURE ENGAGEMENT WITH LEGAL CASES WITH ATHLETES IN VARIOUS SPORTS AND DISCUSSING THE BEST WAYS TO HOLD VARIOUS ENTITIES ACCOUNTABLE.
