OBTAINING A 501(C)3 NONPROFIT STATUS, A NEW AGREEMENT WITH THE MARK TWAIN NATIONAL FOREST, AND COUNTY ROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY INVASIVE TREATMENTS ACCOMPLISHED WITH LANDSCAPE SCALE RESTORATION (LSR) FUNDS. THE NEW PARTICIPATING AGREEMENT SIGNED WITH MARK TWAIN WILL INCLUDE THE SRISP TAKING ON PROJECT AREAS WITHIN THE CFLR (COLLABORATIVE FOREST LANDSCAPE RESTORATION) TO RE-INVENTORY AND SPOT SPRAY INVASIVES ALONG FOREST SERVICE ROADS. FOR LSR SPRAYING, VALARIE COMPLETED NEARLY 25 MILES OF COUNTY ROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY INVASIVE TREATMENTS WITHIN THE MAHAN'S CREEK AREA. PLANS ARE BEING MADE FOR THIS SPRAYING SEASON TO INCREASE THE TOTAL MILES OF ROADSIDES SPRAYED BY CONTACTORS OR CREWS. VALARIE ALSO HIGHLIGHTED THE EDUCATION AND OUTREACH EVENTS SHE PARTICIPATED IN THROUGHOUT THE YEAR AND WHAT AUDIENCES WERE REACHED. SHE ALSO DISCUSSED ASSISTING PARTNERS WITH PROJECTS AND INITIATIVES, INCLUDING PARTICIPATING IN MOIP SUBCOMMITTEES, THE MISSOURI PRESCRIBED FIRE ASSOCIATION, AND COA MEETINGS.
