Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3
THE CENTER FOR ECOLOGICAL CONSCIOUSNESS (CEC) IS A MULTIDISCIPLINARY COLLABORATION OF SCIENTISTS AND STUDENTS WHO WILL GATHER AT SELECT FIELD STATIONS ACROSS THE GLOBE TO CROSS-TRAIN EACH OTHER IN THEIR SPECIALTIES WHILE CONDUCTING SPECIFIC RESEARCH ACTIVITIES. NATURE IS COMPLEX. SPECIES CROSS-TALK TO EACH OTHER, AND WE NEED A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF THESE COMMUNICATIONS. MANY SCIENTISTS' ACTIVITIES ARE FOCUSED AND ISOLATED INTO SILOS OF EXPERTISE. BY BRINGING SCIENTISTS TOGETHER, THE INTERSECTION OF THEIR DISCIPLINES CAN LEAD TO COLLABORATIVE BREAKTHROUGHS. THESE RELATIONSHIPS COULD SAVE ECOSYSTEMS, FOSTER STRONGER ECONOMIES, AND PROTECT OUR COMMON FUTURE. ALL 2021 ACTIVITIES WERE DEDICATED TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE CEC, OBTAINING FEDERAL TAX EXEMPT STATUS AND EXECUTING THE RESEARCH COLLABORATION AGREEMENT WITH WASHINGTON STATE UNIVERSITY.
