Part 3
BAHINI EDUCATION PROJECT (BEP) OFFERS SKILLS TRAINING, MENTORSHIP, FINANCIAL SUPPORT, AND PREPARES GIRLS TO ATTEND UNIVERSITY. BEP WORKS WITH STUDENTS IN GRADE 9 AND PROVIDES AFTER SCHOOL TRAINING ON A VARIETY OF TOPICS SUCH AS COMPUTER SKILLS, ENTREPRENEURSHIP, ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY, AND HEALTH AND WELLNESS. BEP CURRENTLY HAS FIVE STUDENTS IN THE PROGRAM. BEP WORKS TO ENSURE THAT STUDENTS IN RURAL NEPAL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO PURSUE HIGHER EDUCATION AND THAT THEIR FINANCIAL CIRCUMSTANCES ARE NOT BARRIERS TO ATTENDING COLLEGE AND OBTAINING A DEGREE. PROGRAM SERVICE EXPENSES INCLUDE EXPENSES FOR STUDENTS' SCHOOL SUPPLIES (BOOKS, UNIFORM, BACKPACK) AND PAYMENTS TO AFTER SCHOOL TEACHERS AND COUNTRY DIRECTOR. FIVE STUDENTS BENEFITTED FROM THIS PROGRAM. BEP DID NOT OFFER ANY GRANTS IN 2022.
