ART EVENTS (50%): CASA DEI MEDICI INTENDS TO SHOWCASE THE WORKS OF ITS GRANTEE ARTISTS AS WELL AS OTHER ARTISTS THROUGH A VARIETY OF EVENTS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ART AND PERFORMANCE ART EVENTS, POP-UP EXHIBITIONS AND FESTIVALS, MEMBERSHIP EVENTS AND EXPERIENCES, AND VIRTUAL EVENTS. CASA DEI MEDICI WILL OPERATE AS A CONTEMPORARY ART MUSEUM WITHOUT WALLS OR BOUNDARIES. CASA DEI MEDICI'S PROGRAMS FACILITATE THE APPRECIATION OF ART BY THE PUBLIC, PRODUCE UNEXPECTED ART ENCOUNTERS, AND SUPPLY ARTISTS WITH CRITICAL RESOURCES FOR THEIR ARTISTIC DEVELOPMENT; ITS PROGRAMS WILL BE CATALYSTS FOR NEW APPROACHES TO CONTEMPORARY ART ENGAGEMENT BEYOND TRADITIONAL MUSEUMS, THUS ALLOWING GREATER ACCESS TO ART AND ARTISTS BY THE PUBLIC.
SUPPORT TO ARTISTS (30%): INSPIRED BY THE MEDICI FAMILY, FAMOUS PATRONS OF THE ARTS DURING THE RENAISSANCE, CASA DEI MEDICI INTENDS TO PROVIDE GRANTS AND FELLOWSHIPS TO ARTISTS TO PROVIDE THEM WITH THE FINANCIAL FREEDOM TO CREATE WORKS OF ART IN ALL MEDIUMS. ALTHOUGH NOT A PRIVATE FOUNDATION, CASA DEI MEDICI WILL FOLLOW THE EXPENDITURE RESPONSIBILITY RULES OF SECTION 4945(H) OF THE CODE TO ENSURE THAT ALL GRANTS TO INDIVIDUALS ARE UTILIZED FOR THEIR INTENDED PURPOSES AND IT WILL SEEK REPORTS FROM THE GRANTEES ON HOW THE FUNDS ARE SPENT.
SUPPORT TO ARTS ORGANIZATIONS AND PROGRAMS (20%): SIMILAR TO THE NATIONAL ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS, CASA DEI MEDICI WILL SUPPORT ARTISTS AND ART PROJECTS THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES THROUGH GRANTMAKING, INITIATIVES, COLLABORATIONS, AND EVENTS.
