OUR MISSION IS TO MAKE THE VISUAL AND PERFORMING ARTS AVAILABLE TO THE ENTIRE CHANDLER POPULATION; TO BECOME A CREATIVE FORCE AND AN EDUCATIONAL RESOURCE FOR THE COMMUNITY; AND TO HARNESS THE ECONOMIC VITALITY OF THE ARTS.

THE CHANDLER CULTURAL FOUNDATION (FOUNDATION) CELEBRATED ITS 31ST SEASON OF PRESENTING ARTS EVENTS FOR THE COMMUNITY. WHILE THE VENUE WAS CLOSED FROM TYPICAL OPERATIONS FOR MOST OF THE FISCAL YEAR DUE TO THE PANDEMIC THE PROGRAMS MOVED TO A DIGITAL AND OUTDOOR ENVIRONMENT. THE CCA ANYWHERE SERIES FEATURED A DIVERSE OFFERING OF FREE PERFORMANCES THAT INCLUDED LOCAL, REGIONAL, NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL PERFORMING ARTISTS AND ADULT LEARNING VIRTUAL ARTS CLASSES REACHING 35,490 HOUSEHOLDS. THE CCA PRESENTED 35 OUTDOOR PERFORMANCES, INCLUDING 15 SOLD OUT UNDER THE STARS CONCERTS ON THE TERRACE OF THE CCA AND AT THE LIVING ROOM AT CHANDLER MUSEUM. THE CONNECTING KIDS PROGRAM MOVED MANY OF ITS ACTIVITIES ONLINE. THEATRE KIDS SERVED 5,962 PARTICIPANTS THROUGH ONLINE FIELD TRIPS, WHICH INCLUDED 58% TITLE 1 ATTENDANCE. VISION KIDS' OFFERED 52 VIRTUAL VISUAL ARTS CLASSES. THE YOUTH ARTS COUNCIL REMAINED ACTIVE ONLINE THE CAMP KIDS PROGRAMS WERE HELD IN PERSON IN JUNE OF 2021 AND REACHED 91% ATTENDANCE WITH MITIGATION PRACTICES IN PLACE. THE CCA PARTNERED TO SUPPORT NUMEROUS ARTS ORGANIZATIONS INCLUDING THE CHANDLER SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA, BALLET ETUDES, BALLET FOLKLORICO QUETZALLI AZ, THE WEST VALLEY FINE ARTS COUNCIL, THE TORRANCE CULTURAL ARTS CENTER, THE TEMPE CENTER FOR THE ARTS AND TEMPE DANCE ACADEMY. VOLUNTEER FRIENDS, BOARD AND COMMITTEE MEMBERS CONTRIBUTED MORE THAN 1,000 HOURS OF SERVICE AT THE CCA.
