THE CHANDLER CULTURAL FOUNDATION (FOUNDATION) CELEBRATED ITS 33RD SEASON OF PRESENTING ARTS EVENTS FOR THE COMMUNITY. ANNUAL EVENTS FEATURED A DIVERSE OFFERING OF FREE AND PAID PERFORMANCES AND EXHIBITIONS FEATURING LOCAL, REGIONAL, NATIONAL, AND INTERNATIONAL ARTISTS. THE FOUNDATION CO-COMMISSIONED NORTH THE MUSICAL IN PARTNERHSIP WITH THREE OTHER ART CENTERS ACROSS THE COUNTRY. FOR THE FIRST TIME, THE FOUNDATION LED EFFORTS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF CHANDLER TO COLLECT DATA FROM CHANDLER ATTENDEES AND ORGANIZATIONS FOR THE ARTS AND ECONOMIC PROSPERITY STUDY IN PARTNERSHIP WITH AMERICANS FOR THE ARTS. THE CONNECTING KIDS PROGRAM SERVED OVER 7,000 PARTICIPANTS WHICH INCLUDED 70% TITLE 1 ATTENDANCE AT FIELD TRIPS. VISUAL ARTS YOUTH OFFERINGS SERVED OVER 2,100 STUDENTS WITH VISUAL ARTS CLASSES AND ACTIVITIES. THE YOUTH ARTS COUNCIL REMAINED ACTIVE AND THE CAMP KIDS' MUSICAL THEATRE FEE BASED PROGRAMS REACHED 81% ATTENDANCE. THE CCA PARTNERED TO SUPPORT NUMEROUS ARTS ORGANIZATIONS INCLUDING THE CHANDLER SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA, BALLET ETUDES, BALLET FOLKLORICO QUETZALLI AZ, TEMPE DANCE ACADEMY, MISS INDIAN ARIZONA SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM AND LATIN FIESTA ENTERTAINMENT. WITH A RENEWED FOCUS ON LOCAL ARTISTS THE CENTER EXPANDED OPPORTUNITIES FOR LOCAL ARTISTS THROUGH THE ARIZONA PRESENTERS' ALLIANCE AND INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES. VOLUNTEER FRIENDS, BOARD AND COMMITTEE MEMBERS CONTRIBUTED NEARLY 8,700 HOURS OF SERVICE AT THE CCA.MANY FACTORS WERE CONSIDERED BY FOUNDATION MANAGEMENT DURING THE PROCESS OF DEVELOPING PROGRAMS AND TICKET PRICES FOR FISCAL YEAR 2022-23. AMONG THEM WERE INFLATION, AUDIENCES COMFORT WITH RETURNING TO LIVE PERFORMANCES AND EXPANSION OF OFFERINGS FOR THE LOCAL COMMUNITY.
