GRACEWORKS PROVIDES BASIC SUPPORT OF FOOD, MEDICAL TREATMENT, SHELTER, AND CLOTHING FOR VULNERABLE AND ORPHANED OR PARTIALLY ORPHANED CHILDREN AND YOUTH IN A RURAL ARREA OF EASTERN KENYA. ADDITIONALLY, GRACEWORKS PROVIDES MONIES FOR SCHOOL FEES AND SUPPLIES SO THE CHILDREN AND YOUTH CAN ATTEND SCHOOL.

MONTHLY GRANTS ARE PROVIDED TO THE KENYA ORGANIZATIONAL ADMINISTRATION FOR DELIVERING DIRECT CARE SUCH AS COUNSELING, WEEKLY COMMUNITY CENTER PROGRAM COORDINATION, AND LIAISON TO HOME/COMMUNITY. FUNDS ARE ALSO PROVIDED FOR MAINTENANCE, OFFICE AND COMMUNITY CENTER SUPPLIES, IMPROVEMENT AND CONSTRUCTION OF COMMUNITY CENTER FACILITIES, AND SECURITY OF THE GROUNDS, AND FARM. GRANTS FOR SCHOOL FEES, BOOKS, AND SUPPLIES ARE SENT THREE TO FOUR TIMES A YEAR IN ADDITION TO THE ABOVE MONTHLY GRANTS TO ENSURE SCHOOL ATTENDANCE.
GRACEWORKS PRESIDENT AND FOUNDER PLANS AND LEADS GROUPS OF VOLUNTEERS YEARLY TO VISIT THE KENYA ORGANIZATION TO SEE WHAT IS BEING ACCOMPLISHED FIRSTHAND, TO MEET WITH THE CHILDREN THAT ARE BEING SUPPORTED, AND PROVIDE ASSISTANCE WITH ANY PROJECTS OR ACTIVITIES IN PROGRESS. ADDITIONALLY, IT IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO OVERSEE DEVELOPMENT OF BUILDING PROJECTS AND INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS AT THE COMMUNITY CENTER AND FARM AREA. TRAINING OF CARETAKERS, COUNSELORS, AND FACILITATORS IS ALSO CONDUCTED. GOVERNMENT REGULATIONS AND BUDGETARY BUSINESS IS ALSO ATTENDED TO WHEN NEEDED.
GRACEWORKS COLLABORATES WITH LOCAL COMMUNITY BASED AGENCIES TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE WITH FOOD AND OTHER NEEDS FOR ACTIVITIES FOCUSED ON ASSISTANCE TO EXTENDED FAMILY MEMBERS WHO ARE FOSTERING CHILDREN IN THE ABSENCE OF THEIR PARENTS. HOLIDAY GATHERINGS PROGRAM ASSISTANCE AND RESPITE PROGRAMS ARE THE PRIMARY ACTIVITIES.
