DOMESTIC VIOLENCE VICTIM ASSISTANCE PROGRAM PROVIDES CHILD AND ADULT VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC ABUSE LEGAL ASSISTANCE IN OBTAINING ORDERS OR CIVIL STALKING INJUNCTIONS. LEGAL AID SOCIETY ASSISTED 1,662 VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SEEKING PROTECTION FROM ABUSE IN THE FISCAL YEAR. THESE SERVICES ALSO BENEFITTED AN ADDITIONAL 3,737 INDIVIDUALS WHO LIVED IN THE ABUSIVE HOUSEHOLD.
DOMESTIC RELATIONS PROGRAM PROVIDES LEGAL AID TO LOW-INCOME INDIVIDUALS IN MATTERS OF DIVORCE, CHILD CUSTODY, CHILD SUPPORT AND OTHER FAMILY LAW ISSUES. LEGAL AID SOCIETY HELPED 102 CLIENTS ACHIEVE FAMILY STABILITY. THESE SERVICES BENEFITED AN ADDITIONAL 442 INDIVIDUALS LIVING IN THE HOME.
SELF-HELP CLINIC PROVIDES ASSISTANCE IN OBTAINING NECESSARY FORMS AND GENERAL INFORMATION FOR DIVORCE AND OTHER FAMILY LAW MATTERS TO INDIVIDUALS REPRESENTING THEMSELVES. 2,042 PATRONS RECEIVED LEGAL HELP THROUGH THE CLINIC.
