THE ARIZONA LIBRARY ASSOCIATION HOSTED A BOARD RETREAT AND CREATED A FIVE-YEAR STRATEGIC PLAN FOR THE ORGANIZATION. AZLA HOSTED THE AZ YA SUMMIT AND THE ANNUAL AZLA CONFERENCE TO PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR PROFESSIONALS TO NETWORK AND ENHANCE THEIR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO HOSTED MONTHLY PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WEBINARS. AZLA PARTNERED WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA CENTER FOR RURAL HEALTH TO OFFER THE AZ LIBRARIANS FOSTERING RESILIENT RURAL COMMUNITIES AHEAD AZ MINI-GRANT OPPORTUNITY. THE AZLA PRESIDENT ATTENDED THE NRHA NATIONAL RURAL HEALTH ASSOCIATION HEALTH EQUITY CONFERENCE TO PRESENT ON THE GRANT THAT AZLA RECEIVED THROUGH THEIR PARTNERSHIP WITH UA THAT HELPED RURAL AND SMALL LIBRARIES BRING HEALTH PROGRAMMING TO THEIR COMMUNITIES. FURTHERMORE, AZLA WAS AWARDED FUNDING FROM NNLM NETWORK OF THE NATIONAL LIBRARY OF MEDICINE TO SEND LIBRARIANS TO THE CITSCI CITIZEN SCIENCE NATIONAL CONFERENCE. AZLA PROVIDED BILL TRACKING AND ADVOCACY FOR LIBRARIES IN ARIZONA THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.
