A NON PROFIT FOR GIRLS AND WOMEN WITH DISABILITIES. WE HELP TO CONNECT, MOTIVATE AND GUIDE DISABLED GIRLS AND WOMEN GROW. OUR DIRECTIVE IS TO HELP GIRLS AND WOMEN GROW, LEARN AND DEVELOP TO THEIR HIGHEST POTENTIAL AND HAVE CONFIDENCE TO LEAD.

EMPOWHER CAMP IS A MULTI-STAGE SKILL-BUILDING, EMPOWERMENT, AND MENTORING PROGRAM THAT BRINGS A DIVERSE GROUP OF GIRLS WITH DISABILITIES (AGES 13 -18) TO CAMP WITH SUCCESSFUL DISABLED WOMEN MENTORS IN THE ADIRONDACKS FOR ONE WEEK TO EARN ABOUT DISASTER PREPAREDNESS AND BASIC SURVIVAL SKILLS, WHILE ALSO DEVELOPING INDEPENDENT LIVING AND LEADERSHIP SKILLS. THE NEXT SUMMER, THE GIRLS ARE INVITED FOR A REUNION TRIP IN WASHINGTON, D.C. TO EXPLORE HOW THEY HAVE GROWN AS LEADERS. DURING THE YEAR BETWEEN THE FIRST TRIP AND THE REUNION TRIP, THE GIRLS CREATE A YEARLONG LOCAL PROJECT INVOLVING INCLUSIVE DISASTER STRATEGIES. THIS IS A LIFE-CHANGING PROGRAM FOR PARTICIPANTS AND THEIR FAMILIES, AS WELL AS THE DISABLED WOMEN MENTORS. IN JULY 2022, OUR FIRST CLASS OF PARTICIPANTS REUNITED IN WASHINGTON, D.C. AND GRADUATED FROM THE PROGRAM. IN AUGUST 2022, OUR SECOND CLASS OF PARTICIPANTS BEGAN THEIR EMPOWHER CAMP JOURNEY BY CAMPING IN THE ADIRONDACKS, CONNECTING WITH MENTORS, AN

EMPOWHER ROC PROVIDES AN OPPORTUNITY FOR GIRLS AND YOUNG WOMEN WITH DISABILITIES (AGES 10-21)_IN AND AROUND MONROE COUNTY, NY TO MEET EVERY MONTH FOR A FUN, SKILL BUILDING, AND EMPOWERING EVENT WHILE CONNECTING WITH PEERS AND MENTORS. ALL OF OUR EVENTS ARE FREE FOR PARTICIPANTS.
EMPOWHER STORIES IS OPEN TO GIRLS AND WOMEN WITH PARALYSIS WHO HAVE A STORY TO TELL AND WANT HELP DEVELOPING THEIR STORY. WE HELP WOMEN HONE IN ON THEIR IDEAS AND REFINE THEIR WRITING. EVERY MONTH_WE SELECT THREE INDIVIDUALS TO WORK WITH OUR EDITOR TO DEVELOP THEIR BLOG IDEAS INTO FULLY WRITTEN PIECES. OUR EDITOR IS_A PROUD DISABLED_WOMAN WHO CAN PROVIDE PEER SUPPORT AND ADVICE THROUGHOUT THE WRITING AND EDITING PROCESS.
