SEE SCHEDULE OPRODUCED BY CENTER STAFF AND HUNDREDS OF VOLUNTEERS, THESE PROGRAMS CONSTITUTE THE CENTER'S BEST EFFORTS TO SUPPORT AND REFLECT THE COMPLEXITY AND DIVERSITY OF OUR COMMUNITY. WE FOCUS PROGRAMMING IN THE FOLLOWING FOUR AREAS:1. ART AND CULTURE: PROMOTE AND EDUCATE THE COMMUNITY AT LARGE ABOUT CHINESE CULTURE THROUGH OUR DIFFERENT EVENTS AND PROGRAMS: LION DANCE PROGRAM, HISTORY PROGRAM, CHINESE NEW YEAR FESTIVAL, FIELD TRIPS, CHING MING CELEBRATION, AUTUMN MOON FESTIVAL2. HEALTH AND WELLNESS: USING ASIAN MYTHOLOGY TO IMPROVES ONES HEALTH FOR THE COMMUNITY3. LANGUAGE: TUCSON CHINESE SCHOOL SERVES OVER 150 STUDENTS4. FACILITY: THE FACILITY WAS DESIGNED TO HONOR THE CHINESE IMMIGRANTS UNDER THE STORY OF "SHIP IN THE DESERT." MAIN FACILITY (16,000 SQUARE FEET LARGE, ONE-ACRE PARKING AREA, 3.2 ACRES OF LAND), LARGE MULTI-PURPOSE EVENT ROOM (WITH A COMMUNITY KITCHEN, BATHROOMS WITH LARGE ADJACENT HALLWAYS), RECEPTION AREA, EAST GARDEN, ART EXHIBITION WALLS (WITH ENCLOSED EXHIBIT SPACE), MEETING ROOMS AND CLASSROOMS (6 LARGE AND SMALL GROUP MEETING ROOMS AND CLASSROOMS OF VARIOUS SIZES/CONFIGURATIONS SEATING 20 TO 60, OUTDOOR BASKETBALL AREA FOR SPORTS, REHEARSAL ROOM (1,600 SQUARE FEET), SCREENING ROOM (LOCATED IN THE MULTI-PURPOSE ROOM SCREEN), COMPUTER CLASSROOM (FEATURES NEW COMPUTERS AND COMPUTER STATIONS, PROVIDES ITS USERS WITH A SAFE, COMFORTABLE SPACE WHERE THEY CAN LEARN BASIC COMPUTER SKILLS, TAKE CLASSES IN SOFTWARE USAGE AND DISCOVER HOW TO NAVIGATE THE INTERNET), READING AND CONFERENCE ROOM, LIBRARY (COMMUNITY-ACCESS BULLETIN BOARDS AND RESOURCE BINDERS)
