THE GREEN VALLEY COUNCIL IS THE RECOGNIZED AND UNIFIED VOICE OF GREEN VALLEY. OUR BUSINESS MODEL OF "REPRESENTATION WITHOUT TAXATION"SERVES THE RESIDENTS, PROPERTY OWNERS, AND INVESTORS OF THE UNICORPORATED, BOUNDRY DEFINED AREA OF GREEN VALLEY, AZ. THE GVC ENABLES THE COMMUNITY TO FUNCTION AS AN ALL-VOLUNTEER, CITIZEN-MANAGED COMMUNITY. IN 2021 THE GVC HAD OVER 150 VOLUNTEERS SERVING IN VARIOUS CAPACITIES AND 4 PAID ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF MEMBERS. THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE GVC IS TO REPRESENT THE COMMUNITY AT THE LOCAL, COUNTY, STATE, FEDERAL AND TRIBAL LEVELS. THE GVC MAINTAINS A CONTRACT WITH PIMA COUNTY AND STANDING COMMITTEES CORRESPONDING TO COUNTY DEPARTMENTS. GVC VOLUNTEERS DONATED 4,384 HOURS IN 2021.
THE GREEN VALLEY COUNCIL PROVIDES FOR ADDITIONAL UNMET COMMUNITY NEEDS BY CONTRACTING FOR SERVICES WITH OTHER NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATIONS. IN 2021 THE GVC CONTINUED ITS CONTRACT (1) WITH HOME SERVE, SERVICE WARRANTY PROGRAM THAT HAS BEEN VETTED BY THE GVC, AND THAT PROVIDES REFERRAL FEES; AND (2) THE GVC FOUNDATION, INC., A 501(C)(3)NON-PROFIT, THAT HAS A SERICE AGREEMENT WITH THE GVC AND PROVIDES LIMITED PROGRAM RELATRED SERVICES.
THE GREEN VALLEY COUNCIL OFFERS SEVERAL SERVICES EXCLUSIVELY TO GVC MEMBERS AS PART OF THEIR MEMBERSHIP DUES. THESE SERVICES ARE ALSO AVAILABLE TO NON-MEMBERS FOR A MODEST FEE. THESE PROGRAMS INCLUDE (1) THE PREFERRED VENDOR PROGRAM, (2) A SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM ENABLES BUSINESSES TO ADVERTISE THROUGH THE GVC WEBSITE, COMMUNITY FORUMS, AND OTHER EVENTS, (3) BONDED NOTARY PUBLIC SERVICES, (4) GVC MEMBER-ONLY FORUMS, (5) HOA BOARD TRAININGS. (6) HOA MEDIATION SERVICES, (7) LEGAL FORUMS AND WORKSHOPS, AND (8) A GVC WEBSITE FEATURE FOR HOAS.
