SUPPORTED CONSTRUCTION OF 4 PRIMARY SCHOOL CLASSROOMS IN OUAHIGOUYA, BURKINA FASO, TO HELP ACCOMODATE THE INFLUX OF A LARGE NUMBER (1124) OF PRIMARY SCHOOL AGE CHILDREN LIVING IN REFUGEE CAMPS AS A RESULT OF TERRORIST ATTACKS IN VILLAGES. CLASSROOM CONSTRUCTION WAS MANAGED BY GLOBAL NEEED BURKINA, A NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATION REGISTERED WITH THE GOVERNMENT OF BURKINA FASO. UPON COMPLETION, CLASSROOMS WERE TURNED OVER TO THE BURKINA FASO MINISTRY OF EDUCATION.
SUPPORTED ONE YEAR OF POSTSECONDARY EDUCATION AND TRAINING SCHOLARSHIPS FOR THREE VILLAGE GIRLS TO ATTEND UNIVERSITY IN BURKINA FASO AND FOR THE TRAINING OF 16 MIDWIVES IN BURKINA FASO.
SUPPORTED SCHOOL FEES FOR 111 MIDDLE AND SECONDARY SCHOOL GIRLS LIVING IN REFUGEE CAMPS IN OUAHIGOUYA, BURKINA FASO, AS A RESULT OF TERRORIST ATTACKS IN VILLAGES, ENABLING THESE GIRLS TO CONTINUE THEIR EDUCATIONS.
